As a documentary photographer, I’m an observer and storyteller. It is my compassion however for the human spirit, natural emotion, relationships and LOVE that draws me to capture life’s moments for my clients.

No matter the subject, where it be your wedding, social or corporate gathering, I marvel at the experience of capturing how you will both envision and experience it all. I hope to have the opportunity to document your memories for you.

So what exactly is the difference between a ‘ photojournalist’ and a ‘documentary’ photographer you ask? Great question! The difference between a photojournalist and a documentary photographer is that photojournalists receive their assignments, arrive at the assigned locations and tell a visual story of what unfolds. A documentary photographer invests their time in learning about their subjects so that when they are finally facing the moment, or event, or story to be told, they know that they are telling the story through the experience of the people they are capturing. For a documentary photographer, there is an added element of empathy that allows all of this to happen.
